I personally think New Years Resolutions are ridiculous traditions that people make to set themselves up for failure.  However, I haven't finished any art in almost a year.  Pretty pathetic.  Therefore I am making a resolution that coincides with this tradition to submit a picture at least once a month.  I have gotten so caught up in and stressed by graduate school that I am completely unchallenged in other artistic areas.  I think using these outlets will help me feel more relaxed and encourage better time management.  So here's to a new year.  Let's see how it goes.

Okay, people.  After serious deliberation, I have an announcement to make.  I will no longer be commenting/thanking people for faving my work.  I barely have enough time to work on my art, or even maintain this site properly, so I have to cut something out and that's what it is.  I will still be replying to all comments (not always in a timely fashion...but oh well) and want to thank everyone for their views of my site, as well as those who like my work enough to fave or comment on it.  Your support is greatly appreciated!  I apologize for this decision, but it has to be.  So, do not be offended if I do not thank you for the fave.  Know that

My lucky number! First order of business, thanks so much for the 1,000+ views!!  I posted "the black swan" http://loutres.deviantart.com/art/The-Black-Swan-96419677 as a thank you of sorts.  This is so awesome :D Next, been away for a while, but back with some new stuff. Disappointed in the scan of "a thank you kiss" but that's nothing new.  The scan really did it an injustice, so you'll just have to take my word for it.  I like it a lot, so I might keep trying to fix it. Working as a therapy aide again, and I've also taken on a new project doing art for a zombie video game. I'll post more as it comes along. Anyway, thanks for following m
